About Me
I believe in the power of genuine relationship and every person’s autonomy and inherent worthiness. You are the expert on yourself and your story. I come in to listen, get a solid understanding of the context of your life, and bring my decade-plus therapeutic experience to validate your concerns, expand your skills, and empower you to trust yourself.
More information about me:
After graduating from Harvard University (BA) and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (Masters in Clinical Psychology), I became a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in IL. After moving with my family to Nashville, TN, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (Mental Health Services Provider) (LPC-MHSP) in TN and expanded my licensure to Michigan (Licensed Professional Counselor) as well. I’ve spent over a decade working in a number of environments: hospitals, rape crisis centers, schools, community agencies, and private practice, specializing in client-centered trauma-informed therapy. I am also a Level I Sensorimotor Psychotherapy practitioner.
All of this means that I have a lot of experience with:
trauma on an individual and systemic level
family systems
LGBTQ+ communities
children, adolescents, and parents/caregivers
chronic illness
ADHD (attentional variability)
sexual abuse and assault
